Milena Govich

Milena Govich, who is a director, actor and musician, has directed many episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI The Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012) as well as other. Milena was the Co-EP/Producing Director of Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two pilots. Milena was among eight filmmakers who were selected by AFI's highly regarded Directing Workshop for Women, as well as the exclusive Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program. Unspeakable was her television series and short film. It starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort, it won the best episodic award at Seattle International Film Festival as and the Best Pilot award at SoHo International Film Festival. The short film she made, Temporary (2017) is screened across the country, winning Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared as an actor in more than 100 television shows. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. Then she became the first and only female detective in Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have all featured her or featured her in reruns. Milena has been in numerous films which include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and starring alongside Method Man; as well as #Lucky Number (2015). Born in Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian of high school, and then enrolled in her double major in vocal performance and premed, with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma, and also being valedictorian of her graduation. After graduation she made the most of her classical ballet background to appear on Broadway in the production by Rob Marshall and Sam Mendes of "Cabaret" in Studio 54.
