Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actressand model, well-known for her performances on the daytime network, occasional guest appearances, as well as made-for-television films. Sofer was presented with an Daytime Emmy Award by CBS in 1995 for playing Lois Cerullo, the role she played on the soap opera General Hospital. She has been portraying Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS The Bold and the Beautiful, a soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Following the divorce of her parents the family relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer moved with her brother David and her father to Teaneck in New Jersey. But, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania when she was a kid. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father led Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey and her father was rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High School in 1998, she pursued her education at Montclair State College. Sofer was the first to play Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. She first appeared in 1993 as the manager of an ensemble. However, her first role was playing Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). Her most famous role is her appearance in General Hospital as Lois Cerullo (December 15, 1993 - September 24, 1996). She was later guest star (February 7-17, 1997; September 30 until October 2, 1997). Sofer was recognized with an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in Drama Series for her performance as Lois. In May 2013 it was announced that Sofer would be joining the CBS soap series The Bold and the Beautiful and play the newly-created character called Quinn Fuller; her first episode aired on the 12th of July. Sofer has appeared as a guest cast member or guest star in a range of popular prime-time TV shows, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She also appeared in The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. The show's first episode aired on July 12.
