Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) and was the national director of Mary Kay, and Freddie
Wright who was a pharmaceutical executive. She was born in San Diego. She
started her professional career when she was 14 working as a model. She has
worked in Paris, Japan and Paris. When she finished high school, she made the
choice to become an actress. She was cast on the soap show Santa Barbara
(1984), for which she was nominated three times for a Daytime Emmy. She became
a fan of Dane Witherspoon during the first season. They got married in 1986. In
1987, she played the role of the title character in The Princess Bride. She was
chosen to play Santa Barbara but left to be a part of Denial (1990) alongside
Jason Patric. In the year 1990, she was playing the role of State of Grace
(1990) in which she got to know actor Sean Penn, by whom she had a daughter
named Dylan Frances, and a son named Hopper Jack. Robin returned to Hollywood
after a break with one of her most famous parts: Tara in The Playboys (1992).
She was an amazing actress , and a phenomenal performer. She was in Toys (1992)
which was the comedy featuring Robin Williams. It was an extremely entertaining
performance. Wright played the role of Jenny in 1994's blockbuster success
Forrest Gump (1994) with Tom Hanks. She received a nomination for the Golden
Globe Award in recognition of her performance as Jenny. She had a small role in
The Crossing Guard (1995) with Jack Nicholson. After declining 14 roles she was
cast in the title role in MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996), directed by Pen
Densham, and co-starring Morgan Freeman and Stockard Channing. Next, she
starred with William Hurt in Erin Dignam’s Loved (1997).
