Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actress from Canada. She was in the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules as Becky Richards. between 2009 and 2010. She was then on the show as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic series of science fiction Revolution from 2012 to 2014, for which she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson was her character on the A&E television show Bates Motel. Since the year 2017, Spiridakos has appeared on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. as Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, restaurant proprietors George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. The family moved to Skala in Greece in the south of Sparta just after her birth. In 1992, they came back to Canada. She is strongly connected to her Greek heritage and is able to speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting at her junior high school. Then she attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She was offered her first TV job within a matter of weeks, a minor part on Supernatural. Spiridakos continued her work on television with walk-on roles on Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos appeared in the TV film Goblin as well as the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also had a recurring part on Being Human as werewolf Brynn McLean.In 2009, she was awarded her first role as a star in the Canadian Teletoon series Majority Rules!, playing 15-year-old Becky Richards. In 2011, she made her debut in feature films in the film Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also produced Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller written by Michael Greenspan. The film featured Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy and directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos made an appearance as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original movie, Rags. The actress was then offered the lead role in the NBC TV series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, one of the survivors in a dystopian future civilization. She was a candidate for the role while attending her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos produced the pilot in Atlanta and shot the first season in Wilmington, North Carolina. Because of her performance in the pilot she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She was beaten out by Fringe's Anna Torv. The second season saw production moved to Austin Texas.
