Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8 in 1985) is a Canadian actress. She is most famous for her roles in the role of Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand in the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) in the science fiction show Continuum. Recently, she appeared as Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is Polish and lived in Poland for one year in the ninth grade. Her family was there through her uncle. She went to Jelenia Gora School. She later studied at Vancouver Film School. When her brother introduced her to the Pulp Fiction, she became attracted to acting. In 2002, she began her first acting appearances in the TV series Jeremiah. She also appeared briefly on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 to 2009, she played acting in the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008 she starred in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand who was a regular in the drama television series Caprica, with Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. Hellcats was her following film. In 2012, she guest starred in the second season of Jane Espenson's romantic comedy web series, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the series Continuum She also appeared in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. The Green Inferno, although it was made in 2012, was released in the world in 2015. Apanowicz was cast to play Angela in Volition which is a science-fiction thriller film.
