Mary-Louise Parker

Mary-Louise Parker was born August 2nd on the 2nd of August, 1964. She is an American actress. After making her Broadway debut in Craig Lucas’s Prelude to a Kiss, in 1990, Parker was nominated for a Tony Award for the role of Rita. She starred as Amy Gardner on NBC's television series The West Wing from 2001 to 2006. As a result of this role, she was nominated in 2002 for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Supporting Actress In the Drama Series. Her role as Harper Pitt in HBO's acclaimed mini-series Angels in America in 2002 earned her an award of a Primetime Emmy Award as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In 2006, Parker won the Golden Globe Award. In 2006, Parker was nominated to the Primetime Emmy Award. (2013), as well as Red 2 (2012). Parker was back on Broadway in 2019 and was a part of The Sound Inside. This production won her her second Tony Award for Best Actress. Parker has been writing articles for Esquire magazine since 2007. She also wrote Dear Mr. You in 2015. In 2017, she appeared in the role of Roma Guy on the ABC television miniseries When We Rise. She was a consultant for the political world in the Showtime show Billions in the year 2018.
