Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright (born 17 February 1991) is an English actress, model, director, and activist. She is best known for her role in the role of Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film series.Born in London, Wright made her professional acting debut in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) and played the role for ten years, until the last film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011). Wright was in numerous independent films after the show. These films were mixed reviews. Wright was the stage's first lead character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's diploma in filmmaking. After graduating from the university of the Arts in London in 2012, she started producing short films through her production company BonBonLumiere. Her first directorial project was the coming-of-age drama Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2012), starring David Thewlis, which was released at the Cannes Film Festival to critical applause. Wright also directed Know Thyself (2016), which starred Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both included emotional and landscape. Wright's trilogy Phone Calls, which was presented at Tribeca Film Festival 2017, comprised three episodes. Medusa’s Ankles (2018) with Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and is based on A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She also produced music videos for Scarlett Johansson, Pete Yorn and Sophie Lowe. Wright is an ambassador for Greenpeace and Lumos and has been acknowledged for her environmental activism.
