Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

 Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12 1972) is an American actress. She is most famous for her role as attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she has been awarded the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. She's also been in NBC's Whitney (2011)-2013 and ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 as well as TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12, 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant for the United States Navy, and her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. She grew up in a family who moved often, which included the cities of Washington, D.C., Arizona and Japan. She followed the example of her parents and grandparents by learning about architecture, painting and drawing from a young age. She continued to pursue the visual arts, but she also had an increased interest in acting and was introduced to modern theater at the age of college. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Studio Art. While at university, Seehorn was looking to pursue a career in theater after the encouragement from her acting instructor. In order to be noticed she was employed in various ancillary roles within D.C.'s theater industry. She was able to secure several important parts in local theatre productions. But she had to work odd jobs to survive. In order to pay her bills, she took on roles in short industrial instructional films. Soon she began to be part of more television productions. Her role was often compared to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as "very funny," "sarcastic, and well-educated" women. These roles were usually cancelled after a couple of seasons. Seehorn was chosen to play Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, a lawyer as well as the love interest of the titular Jimmy McGill/Saul G. Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
