Dawson, born May 9, 1979in the United States, is an American actress. In 1995
she made her feature film debut in the independent drama Kids. In the following
years, she was a part of films like He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the
Pussycats (1901), Men in Black II (2006), Death Proof (2008), Seven Pounds
(2008) and Percy Jackson and the Olympians (2010). Dawson also provides
voice-overs for Warner Bros./DC Comics and ViacomCBS Nickelodeon's Nickelodeon unit.
For her performance in Rent, Dawson was awarded the Satellite Award in Best
Supporting Actress Motion Picture. And for Top Five, Dawson was nominated for
the Critics Choice Movie Award in the category of Best actress in Comedy.
Dawson was born in New York City on May 9, 1979. Isabel Celeste is her mother
and has Afro-Cuban ancestry. Isabel was 16 years old at the time that Rosario
was born; she did not marry Rosario's father, Patrick C. Harris. Rosario's mom,
Greg Dawson, was a construction worker when she was just one year old. From
this marriage, Dawson has a half-brother, Clay, who is four years younger than
her. Dawson is also well-known for several roles in comic-book adaptations. In
2020, she portrayed Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian, and is
set to star in the forthcoming Disney+ original series Ahsoka. Also, she has a
regular role in the Dwayne Johnson autobiographical comedy series Young Rock in
2021.
