Michelle Lynn Monaghan, born March 23, 1976, is an American actor. Her starring roles include Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) and Gone Baby Gone (2008). The actress was also famous for Gone Baby Gone (2008), Made of Honor (2008) and Trucker (2008). Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). Her leading role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her recognition. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. In the drama The Path, a drama series The Path (2016), she starred in the role of Sarah Lane. Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was pulled after just one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel and Robert Monaghan (a factory worker) and was born in Winthrop, Iowa. Bob and John are her elder brothers. Monaghan is from Irish and German heritage was raised Catholic and graduated from East Buchanan High School 1994. Following graduation, Monaghan moved to Chicago to pursue journalism studies and later began modeling. She also has modeled in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore as well as in the United States. She left New York for an acting career after completing her 1999 journalism degree. Prior to her acting career, she worked as model and was featured in many magazines and catalogs. Monaghan's first two credited television appearances, in a supporting role and as Caroline Busse in episodes of Young Americans, which aired in 2000. In "Consent" Monaghan was the role of Caroline Busse. She also appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims unit during that episode. On January 19, 2001, she appeared in "Consent". That same year, her big screen debut was with Perfume in the role of Henrietta. In 2002, she was again playing a supporting character in Unfaithful with Richard Gere & Diane Lane.
